The Rewards Program
Pledge to build.
Earn while you wait.
Like Kickstarter — except businesses competing for a spot in your town offer you real rewards for your pledge. Your demand is the product they're buying access to.

Free while pledging
Rewards unlock the moment the raise hits $5B — no extra cost, no subscription, no obligation to move in.
Businesses compete for you
Only brands that pledge jobs appear in your preference UI. They offer rewards to earn your vote.
Tier 1 — universal
Every successful pledger gets brand-verified discount codes. Estimated $300–600/year.
Tier 2 — engaged pledgers
Post, tag, or share URBAL content to unlock enhanced codes, physical goods, and early product access.
Tier 3 — selected stewards
Win a PLC and unlock premium codes, VIP early access, and brand ambassador programs.
No obligation
Rewards are a free benefit of pledging. You can accept them without any commitment to move in.

How Rewards Work
Pledge. Engage. Unlock rewards. No strings.
Brands competing for Spice Tray spots offer discounts and early access to earn your vote. Costs come from their marketing budget.

Business Competition
If they didn't commit to your town, they don't appear.
Only job-pledged brands appear in your preference UI. Tag an unpledged brand — high demand volume triggers URBAL outreach.

Reward Tiers
The more you engage, the more you unlock.
Tier 1 for all pledgers ($300–600/yr). Post and tag for Tier 2 ($500–1,000). Win a PLC for Tier 3 ($1,000–2,000+).

Three tiers. Real value.
Tier 1 — Universal
Tier 1 — Universal
All successful pledgers. ~$300–600/yr.
Every pledger whose raise succeeds receives Tier 1 rewards: brand-verified discount coupons and percentage-off codes from local and regional businesses that pledged your town. Digital only, automatically unlocked after raise success. No action required beyond pledging. If the raise fails, no rewards are issued and your money is refunded in full.
Tier 2 — Social Engagement
Post, tag, or share URBAL content. ~$500–1,000/yr.
Pledgers who engage publicly — posting about URBAL, tagging brands, sharing preference selections on Instagram, TikTok, or X — unlock enhanced discount codes, physical goods, and early product access from pledged brands. URBAL tracks engagement automatically. No minimum follower count. The signal matters, not the reach.
Tier 3 — Selected Stewards
Win a PLC. ~$1,000–2,000+/yr.
Pledgers who win a PLC in the town and move in unlock the highest reward tier: premium codes, VIP early access to new products and services, and brand ambassador programs. These rewards are reserved for people who will actually live alongside the brands they vouched for — the most credible relationship any brand can buy.
Local businesses in rewards
Spice Tray operators compete for your vote.
Cafés, studios, bakeries, barbers, and galleries that want a Narrow Spice Tray spot offer Tier 1 and Tier 2 rewards. These businesses gain the most from your vote — 25 of their 100 selection points come directly from pledger votes. Their rewards are their best pitch.
Regional employers in rewards
Up to 49 jobs per employer. Real local presence.
Regional employers competing for outer wall slots offer early hiring access, employee referral perks, and discount programs for stewards as Tier 2 rewards. They see your preference data in the pledge UI — demographic breakdown, skill profiles, and demand volume — before committing a single job pledge.
National brands in rewards
Premium access. Ambassador programs.
National brands (Whole Foods, SoulCycle, Quince and their equivalents) competing for inner wall commercial slots offer the highest-value Tier 3 rewards to selected stewards. For national brands, a PLC-holding steward base is the most credible endorsement channel available — and the stewards live in the same square mile as the store.
