About URBAL
Towns built by the people in them.
URBAL is a rewards-based crowdfunding platform for developing car-free, one-square-mile stone towns. The towns are designed. The infrastructure is engineered. The capital structure is structured. The only missing ingredient is 20 million people who want to live differently.
The Mission
The Problem We're Solving
The American housing, healthcare, and transportation systems are structurally broken — not by accident, but by design. Car dependency was engineered. Zoning exclusivity was legislated. Fee-for-service healthcare was incentivized. URBAL doesn't try to fix these systems. It builds outside them.
A URBAL town is a complete alternative: stone construction that appreciates without gentrifying, direct primary care that eliminates insurance overhead, car-free mobility that removes the $12,000/year vehicle cost, and governance that makes democratic accountability local and binding.

The Entity Structure
Golden Goose → URBAL Platform
URBAL operates through a layered entity structure designed for accountability, permanence, and legal clarity. Each entity has a defined role and cannot act outside it.
Golden Goose Development Group
Public Benefit LLC · Parent entity
The founding entity. Holds the master design IP, the Form-Based Code, and the URBAL brand. All downstream entities derive their authority from Golden Goose via management agreement.
URBAL Platform LLC
Operating entity · 100% operational authority
Operates the crowdfunding platform, manages biz dev, runs the raise process, executes construction contracts, and manages all 9 SPVs (7 Town SPVs, 1 City SPV, 1 Terreno Infrastructure SPV) via management agreement.
Community Land Trust (CLT)
501(c)(3) · Land ownership in perpetuity
Holds fee simple title to all 36 square miles of each Bouquet. Independent board of trustees. Cannot be dissolved or transferred. The CLT is the permanent structural guarantee of affordability.
County SPV (51% economic interest)
Per-town entity · County holds economic majority
For each of the 9 SPVs, the winning county holds 51% economic interest. URBAL Platform holds 49% economic interest but 100% operational authority via management agreement. The county earns; URBAL operates.
Document Version
URBAL Master Design v5.0
The URBAL Master Design Document is the canonical specification for all aspects of the platform — architectural, legal, financial, governance, and operational. Version 5.0 was released April 2026.
19 sections
Architecture, scale, urban design, capital structure, governance, healthcare, education, security, employment, mobility, costs, rewards, trust, and more.
Form-Based Code
All architectural and urban design requirements are codified in the URBAL Form-Based Code — binding for all construction within any Bouquet.
Public document
The Master Design Document is publicly available. URBAL operates on the principle that full transparency is the only viable trust mechanism for a project of this scale.
Living specification
v5.0 is not final. The document is updated as legal structures are confirmed, engineering is refined, and county-specific requirements are codified.
